If you hop over to RobotChicken.com right now, you can catch an incredibly strange (but sexy) live webcam event. The staff is attempting to breed their own Robot Chicken by sticking a chicken and robot in a hotel room together and seeing what happens. Unfortunately, the robot seems more into the TV than the chicken, and the chicken (named “Quincy”) seems more into eating food off it’s bed and murdering hookers and shoving them under the bed than the robot.
Co-creator Matt Senreich said of the event: “Adult Swim always seems to venture into new territory with their promotions and we love to follow them down every crazy road or in this case, to a chicken-sized motel room.”
This weird soap opera is being set up and streamed into your computers in order to celebrate Robot Chicken’s 100th episode, airing this Sunday, January 15th. the event started yesterday, Jan. 9th, and it will continue in increments through the 13th.
Various staff will be making appearances reacting to the horrible and beautiful things going on in that tiny hotel room, including creators Seth Green and Matt Senreich, head writers/executive producers Tom Root and Douglas Goldstein, writer/producer Mike Fasolo, writers Zeb Wells, Matt Beans, Jessica Gao and executive producers Eric Towner and John Harvatine IV. As of this posting, between live events on the site, they’re streaming a recorded video from yesterday featuring Goldstein and Beans. So if you missed it, it’s there for you. Future event times are listed on the schedule right under the video on the page.
