Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

The stuff we get asked the most, answered once, in writing.

Are you Adult Swim?

No. We are an independent outlet that covers Adult Swim — along with comedy, art, and pop culture in general. We have no affiliation with Adult Swim, Williams Street, or Warner Bros. Discovery. Nobody here can greenlight anything.

Can you get my show / pilot / cartoon to Adult Swim?

Also no — and we mean that kindly. We can’t forward pilots, pass along pitches, or put in a good word, because we don’t work there. Your best move is to keep making things, put them where people can see them, and go through Adult Swim’s official channels. That’s the honest answer, and it’s the same one we give everybody.

So what IS Adult Swim Central?

The unofficial news source for everything Adult Swim — and we’ve been at it a while. The site started in December 2002 as Aqua Teen Central, then grew to cover the whole network. In 2025 we merged with the Art Comedy Pop-Culture Network, so these days the coverage runs wider still — comedy, animation, conventions, toys, games, and the podcasts.

What’s ACPN?

The Art Comedy Pop-Culture Network — the other half of this operation. ACPN is where the coverage goes beyond Adult Swim: comedy, animation, art, conventions, toys, games, and yes, a podcast network. Current shows live on the Podcasts page along with the vault of shows that came before, and if you run a podcast and want in, applications are at Join ACPN Podcasts.

I’m a publicist / PR rep. Who do I talk to?

Us, gladly. Screeners, review materials, interview availability, embargoed announcements — email press@adultswimcentral.com and a human will get back to you fast.

Can I write or make videos for you?

Maybe! We’re a volunteer crew and we’re always interested in people who care about this stuff as much as we do. The application lives on the Join page.

Why do some really old articles look a little rough?

Because they’re survivors. We’ve been resurrecting posts from 2013–2016 — recovered from site migrations, dead domains, and the Internet Archive — and some came back with battle scars. They’re collected under From the Archives. We think the scars add character.

Why did you cancel [insert show here]?

We didn’t. We can’t. See the first question — we’re a fan-run outlet, not the network. We were probably just as annoyed as you were.

I found a mistake / I have a tip.

Tell us. Corrections and tips go through the contact form and we take both seriously. If it’s a correction, we’ll fix the record; if it’s a tip, we’ll chase it.

The contact page is right there, and a human answers, usually fast. Just remember the first two questions above before hitting send.
