Tonight on Toonami, Casshern Sins finishes its run, and something else will take its place next week. For a time, we were unsure of what it would be– the Schedule page on the Adult Swim website and the other “backdoor” schedule listed nothing for Casshern’s slot for November 10th. We were out of luck– until now.
FUNimation confirms on their Twitter account that Tenchi Muyo! GXP will take the time slot over come next Saturday:

You may remember Tenchi Muyo! as one of the series that people basically equate with Toonami’s mid-day block on Cartoon Network years ago. Tenchi Muyo! was a sci-fi, action-adventure, harem anime about a kid named Tenchi Masaki who becomes involved with a group of alien girls, all princesses, scientists, or officers of the Galaxy Police. They all live with him and compete for his attention and affection. They all go on adventures throughout the galaxy, naturally.
Tenchi Muyo! GXP is slightly different, and doesn’t really include the original, easily recognizable cast from the old Tenchi series. Check out the description from FUNimation’s GXP page:
Seina Yamada’s luck is way worse than bad. He can’t get through a day without causing serious harm to himself and any unfortunate souls nearby. So what in the world could two gorgeous Galaxy Police officers want with him? Just as soon as their spaceship lands, Seina’s blasting off into space with the beauties. It appears his luck could be changing for the better!
The cast is slightly different and the main character isn’t exactly the same, but if you loved Tenchi back in the day, you might just love this too.
