Adult Swim Selling Bug Space Soon

With the Upfront Presentation practically in the books (It’s on Wednesday in NYC), Swim has just announced another random yet intriguing concept to their network broadcast.

According to Variety, Swim will be selling ad space on their “bug.” For those who don’t know the TV techno-lingo, a “bug” is the space (usually on the bottom right) on your TV where a network places its logo. In Swim’s case, it’s where you see “[adult swim]” emblazoned on your screen. Swim met with Boston-based “Innerscope Research” who determined that any logos in that section of the screen would be non distracting to the average viewer.

That being said, you have to wonder what ads Swim plans to run with… Burger King? Geico? …Life Alert? What’s a Bamzu??? Swim is certainly no stranger to throwing around ads: From Boost Mobile and Axe on Aqua Teen, Scion cars on both Frisky Dingo and Assy McGee… we’ll have to wait and see what they come up with.
