You probably already know this, but San Diego Comic Con is here. Tonight was the Preview Night for press and professionals and whatnot, and our good friends over at The Venture Bros. Blog are there, the lucky devils.
So, of course, they got to get a look at some new Venture Bros. action figures at the Bif Bang Pow!/Entertainment Earth booth at the con. And they posted their findings on their Facebook page (go like ‘em for more Venture news as it happens). Check it, y’all:
Lookin’ pretty. It looks like the remainder of the Order of The Triad that hasn’t yet been turned into plastic is getting the treatment. The Alchemist looks super cool, I think. Pete White lends himself well to the plastic medium, too, and looky! A Hatred figure! If you’re a fan of the guy, that should be sort of awesome. Can’t really see his face but the rest looks good.
Note from the desk of John J.: As far as the Sgt. Hatred figure is concerned, I’m kind of amazed to see it exists. Originally it was rumored that Bif Bang Pow wouldn’t be producing one considering Hatred’s former lifestyle (Read: Pedo.) and the fact that they’re selling these figures at family-friendly Toys R’ Us (although, they also sell Duke Nukem action figures, and while not a pedo, Duke’s pretty much humped everything that moves.) Regardless, it’s nice to see that such a figure does exist now and will be sold in stores.
There’s also this:
Another thanks to Venture Bros Blog for this image. This is an 3 3/4-inch Brock Samson figure. Awesome. The blood-drenched Brock is an SDCC exclusive, but that really doesn’t matter. You can preorder the bloody Brock on Entertainment Earth right now, along with the clean Brock you see in the image above, and several other 3 3/4 Venture Bros figures, most of which will ship anytime from November (for Dr. Mrs. The Monarch, and Hank), to February of next year (for Dean, and Rusty), to July of next year (for Phantom Limb, and The Monarch).
Bloody SDCC-exclusive Brock is $14.99, the rest are $9.99. The site also lists several of the new figures we saw at NYCC for preorder, so get crackin’ on preorderin‘.
If you’re going to be at San Diego Comic Con this weekend, check out Entertainment Earth at booth #2343. They’ll have regular and bloody Brock for sale there.
Check out The Venture Bros Blog and follow them on your social network of choice for more news about these figures and whatever else happens in the realm of the Venture Bros.
And keep tabs with us here, we’ll bring you any Adult Swim-related goodies that seep out of the confines of San Diego Comic Con. We can’t be there, but we’ll let you know what’s up anyway.
Now, go spend some of your hard earned cash on some Venture Bros. toys. You so know you want to.
