Adult Swim has released a free app for Apple’s iPhone and iPad which gives fans access to full episodes and clips of their shows.
Previously, because of Apple’s refusal to use Flash on the popular mobile devices, the only way to enjoy [as] on either device was to view the mobile [as] site (which gives access to select episodes and clips from about 9 shows) or buy content on iTunes.
The app gives access to view clips and full episodes of about 50 shows, and allows you to search and sort video by most recently added, most viewed, or top rated/hated. You can also view the full schedule and share your viewing experience via Facebook, Twitter, or e-mail. The videos are the same quality as the video section of their website and load smoothly with a wi-fi connection (not so good with an AT&T Edge connection). So far there are no adds, but don’t be surprised if they show up later as the app gains popularity. The games section allows you to preview and purchase games.
The app is designed to be user friendly and intuitive. And it is free. A must have if you have an iPhone or iPad and you’re a fan of Adult Swim ( which you obviously are if you’re reading this on [as]Central)… So what are you waiting for? Go get it!
