If you’re in the NYC area, the sixth rendition of the “Too Art for TV” art gallery is opening in November. “Too Art for TV” has been running since 2006 and is founded/curated by Venture Bros. Color Supervisor, Liz Artinian. This year, the gallery features 44 different works of art from established artists, animators, etc. including:

• Christy Karacas (co-creator of Superjail)
• Devin Clark (creator of Ugly Americans)
• John Dilworth (creator of Courage the Cowardly Dog)
• Richard Mather (Production/Background Artist for Superjail)

The gallery will be juried by Artinian as well as Christy Karacas and Devin Clark. The new gallery is being built as we speak (I had the chance to see the space during the Titmouse NYCC afterparty, which was held there. Looking good,) at the brand new BunnyCutlet Gallery in Williamsburg, NY (that’s Brooklyn, FYI.) “Too Art for TV 6″ opens on November 9th at 6pm with the gallery staying open until December 14th.

But wait! There’s more… Liz Artinian has also launched a Kickstarter project for the new gallery space. The plan is to raise enough money to have an established gallery space for at least 1 year, rather than 1 month out of the whole year. Donating at certain levels get you some pretty nifty goodies.

I was fortunate enough to view one of the galleries in 2010 (PulpO) which featured art by Karacas and Clark, as well as Jackson Publick. The art, without question was amazing! Christy actually used his own blood in the art he created. So I’m sure you can expect more of the same with this gallery.
