It seems to be a continuing pattern seeing [adult swim] celebs doing non-Swim TV shows while they’re between seasons. For instance, Childrens Hospital’s Malin Ackerman is joining the TV show “Suburgatory,” Eagleheart’s Brett Gelman appears in Matthew Perry’s “Go On,” Paul Scheer from NTSF also stars in FX’s “The League,” and who could forget Moral Orel and Frankenhole creator Dino Stamotopoulos as Star-Burns in NBC’s “Community?”

It only makes perfect sense that Delocated’s Jon Glaser joins a hit show… as such, he’s signed on for the upcoming season of Parks and Recreation (a show that also features Nick Offerman, who will occasionally show up as Detective Chance Briggs on Childrens Hospital.)

According to TVLine, show frontrunner Mike Schur (who previously worked on The Office,) says Glaser is cast as Leslie Knope’s (played by Amy Pohler,) new nemesis… the town orthodontist who, according to Schur “basically becomes Leslie’s nemesis. He doesn’t find her interesting or charming at all, and doesn’t care about her bright-eyed, bushy-tailed attitude toward making the town better… He just doesn’t like her.”

The new season of Parks and Rec premiers Thursday, September 20th at 9:30pm…  a nice fit to your already fine Thursday Night viewing of CH and NTSF starting at Midnight.
