More news out of BubbleBlabber. Remember Matt Maiellaro? You might know Matt as the co-creator of Aqua Teen Hunger Force/Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1. You might also know that Matt went on to create THE GREATEST AND MOST ELABORATE ANIMATED SERIES THAT WAS CANCELLED (a.k.a.: 12 oz. Mouse), as well as the pilot to the live-action horror show Stiff.

A while back, Matt kind of disappeared from [adult swim] for a while… similar to how Adam Reed (creator of Archer) did while Frisky Dingo was wrapping up. Adam spent that time pitching Archer to FX. Now, in what appears to be a similar move it seems that Maiellaro will be developing a new show on FX. According to BubbleBlabber, the untitled show (about a guy who was recently released from prison) is being developed by Maiellaro and Grant Dekernion and will star Danny McBride (yes, THAT Danny McBride.)

No word on who will be animating, however FX has put a lot of faith (and contracts) into Floyd County (Archer, Unsupervised.) So it wouldn’t surprise me if our buddy Todd Redner doesn’t get more work on his hands.
