Space Dandy is back baby!

The premiere of it’s second season brought many laughs and, hopefully more to come for the rest of the season. Unlike season 1, season 2 started at 12:30, but not without a one hour marathon of a couple of season 1 episodes. Though the time might have changed, it doesn’t seem like Space Dandy and his crew have, which is a good thing.

Space Dandy is a very unpredictable show and you never know what’s going to happen. The premiere episode, “I Can’t Be the Only One, Baby” was basically that. The episode had Dandy and crew going through different dimensions where they met other versions of themselves. With this being Space Dandy, the more of themselves they met, the more weird and funny they became.

Not only were they alternate versions of the crew but they were included in references to other anime shows. Personally the best version was the last one to appear which we can properly call Emo Dandy. Even his alternate crew version, you can see why he would be so depressed. As I was watching this and being on Twitter, this episode seems to be a hit for those watching. It could very well be a favorite among all the Space Dandy episodes.

I can see this getting ratings when the numbers are revealed. I’m looking forward to the rest of the season, which to my understanding is also the last. This is sure to be a Toonami favorite and I hope Adult Swim keep the rights to this show for a long time.
