For the past few years and with the help of [adult swim], you’ve piloted Robot Unicorns through rocks and stars, performed amateur surgery on everything from people to cars, and assisted gigantic monsters in eating condos. Now, [adult swim] has partnered with THQ Games and their upcoming release of Saints Row the Third.
Those of you who are out of the loop, the Saints Row franchise is akin to Grand Theft Auto, only with different features such as customizable cars, weapons, and best of all, characters. In the first Saints Row, I actually made a near-perfect William Murderface, complete with JFK’s car from the Birthday episode.
According to MediaPost.com, the in-game [adult swim] station will be hosted by “Jon” from Delocated (voiced and created by Jon Glaser.) The station itself will feature tracks from various albums published by Williams Street Records, from artists such as DangerDoom, Cerebral Ballzy, Dethklok, Cheeseburger, Tim and Eric, Schooly D, and many others. MediaPost interviewed Cartoon Network’s Sales Manager, John O’Hara who stated “Adult Swim is eager to co-brand in both the music and video game sphere, which appeals to its young male audience.”
You can check out a sampler of what to expect from the station on Saints Row the Third right here:
Saints Row the Third will be available on Playstation 3, X-Box 360, and PC starting on Tuesday, November 15th.
