On this, the final hour of Black Friday 2012, I wanted to take the time out to remember what used to be adultswimshop.com…

…okay, not really. The shop was clearly taken down for a reason (of course we’ll never know why. My money’s on the fact that they charged WAAAAAY too much for items.) They did, however have some nifty Black Friday sales. Obviously without a site, that didn’t happen today. Will there be a new shop website? We won’t know until Swim tells us. If we had to guess… maybe? Only time will tell.

At any rate, I wanted to take this time out to promote this little surprise:

So in a nutshell, Bif Bang Pow announced that they were pushing back the release dates of some of their Venture Bros. vinyl figures… which made people a bit sad. But in lieu of that, they came out with this nifty “Retro Mug.” The best part? Entertainment Earth is selling it for a mere $12.99! While that may seem like a lot of money, keep in mind it’s probably likely that if [as] shop were still in existence, this mug would be sold for around $25 – $30. Regardless, would make for an awesome HOLIDAY gift.

Having said that, its obvious that Venture Bros. gets some pretty neat merchandise (obviously if you caught my little interview with Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick, they are very hands-on when it comes to merch.) and there’s even rumblings about a second Shirt of the Week Club forthcoming when Season 5 hits next year.  It’s my personal wish for the fans that next year, [as] starts developing more merchandise for not only Venture Bros., but also other shows… I mean who wouldn’t want to see Superjail action figures, Childrens Hospital bobbleheads, or even China, IL plushies?
