Happy October. It’s finally Fall and so the Fall Season of Anime has begun. Here are some titles that have been announced so far and where to watch them. Also included is information about what a new anime coming to Toonami and a brand new anime convention coming in 2017.

Toonami News

Coming to Toonami on [Adult Swim] is Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventures October 15, 2016. Jo Jo will be taking over the time slot of 12:30 after One Punch Man finishes it series run on the block.

Convention News

Anime NYC: We’re excited to let everyone know that Crunchyroll is partnering with LeftField Media to bring you a new conventionfocused on anime, manga, and Japanese pop-culture next year in New York City, called Anime NYC! LeftField Media has brought convention-goers such events as Awesome Con (Washington D.C.’s Comic-Con) and Five Points Festival (a designer toy and comic convention), so we are thrilled to work together for Anime NYC, where we are looking forward to bringing guests from Japan and publishers nationwide.

Dimension W Coming to Toonami February 27

For all you Toonami fans out there waiting to find out what will replace Akame Ga Kill, I hope you were watching the Feb. 12th broadcast of Toonami Pre-Flight. Right at the top of the show, because they knew you were waiting for the information, they announced that the new show replacing the 12:30am time slot will be Dimension W. The premiere date will be on February 27th.

Dimesion W is actually a brand new series that just came out for the Winter 2016 season and is being simulcasted on Funimation. A synopsis of the show is as follows:

“In the year 2071, the world’s energy problems seem solved by a network of cross-dimensional electric-field inductors- “coils” -that extract energy from a seemingly infinite source. That source is the W dimension, a fourth plane that exists beyond the X, Y, and Z dimensions. In this world, unofficial “illegal” coils harness powers that the police can’t hope to counter. Dealing with these coils is the job of coil-hating repo man Kyoma, whose run-in with the unique coil android Mira leads the two to form a reluctant partnership.” (Funimation)
