Cheeseburger Album to be Released by Williams Street Records

Cheeseburger has been associated with Adult Swim pretty much as long as Superjail! has been. You may know them as the band that made Superjail’s theme song “Comin’ Home.” The show’s creator, Christy Karacas, is also the guitarist for the band. They performed a show at the Santos Party House in NYC in 2009 (through Adult Swim Presents).
Now, they’re releasing their second album “Another Big Night Down The Drain” through Williams Street Records.

Adult Swim Partners with Pizza Hut for Fan-Made Commercial Contest

In an attempt to tap into the creativity of Adult Swim fans, the network has partnered with Pizza Hut, asking fans to describe with video their favorite moment involving pizza. Starting on March 30th, you’ll be able to vote on your favorite entries at adultswim.com/fanmade. The creator of the winning entry will win an all-expense paid trip to watch Adult Swim recreate their video.

The contest officially starts on the 30th in Baton Rouge, La., and then continues to follow the Ragbag of Jollification carnival tour. It will start asking for entries from the general public after the tour concludes. If you can’t make it to any of the tour spots, your window for entering will be May 2nd through the 22nd, during which Adult Swim will ask for contest entries on air and they can be submitted online.

Venture Bros S5 AND S6 Announced

Anticipating that fans would find out the news anyway via DVD commentaries on the 4th season Blu-ray, Jackson Publick announced on his Livejournal late last night that The Venture Bros. has been picked up for two more full seasons.

Jackson and Doc Hammer officially began writing the new episodes last week, though Jackson notes that they had previously thrown around some ideas while working on the season 4 finale.

And as if two seasons weren’t enough, Jackson makes mention of two upcoming specials. One, a long-form (60-90 min.) special. The other, a much looser 15-minute special they have been secretly putting together with Titmouse Studios (whom also produce Metalocalypse).

Go Team Venture, amirite?
