Dethklok’s new LP, Dethalbum III, came out last week on Williams Street Records, the studio’s own music imprint. Our Nikki reviewed it, and she loved it. Guess she wasn’t alone, though.

According to Blabbermouth, Dethalbum III debuted at number 10 on Billboard’s US Top 200 chart this week. Not only that, but according to the Billboard site itself, Dethalbum III also charted on a handful of other Billboard charts for this week: it debuted at #2 in Rock Albums, #3 in Independent, #1 in Hard Rock, #16 in Digital Albums, and #4 in Tastemaker. What a week for Brendon Small, Dethklok, and Williams Street, huh?

Brendon thanked the fans “for actually buying music in a world where they don’t have to,” according to the Blabbermouth article.

This isn’t the first Dethklok album to chart, either: Dethalbum II debuted at #15 back in 2009.
